Spanning the globe on a Tuesday morning …

Big win for former Ole Miss coach David Cutcliffe over the weekend. Cutcliffe is now in his sixth season as Duke coach. The sixth season was his last one at Ole Miss, not that he’s in job peril in North Carolina. The Blue Devils’ win over then No. 14 Virginia Tech was their first road win over a ranked opponent since 1971, and it followed a path similar to that win many years ago.

Speaking of former Ole Miss coaches, there’s a very impressive Ed Orgeron impersonation here from Will Ferrell. It’s a long clip, but Ferrell doing Ed shows up in the first 3 minutes. …

From Athens, there’s a new name for this week’s Georgia-Florida game, which is also known as the world’s largest outdoor cocktail party. Missouri’s come-from-ahead loss to South Carolina has breathed new life into the seasons of these two struggling traditional SEC powers. …

Arkansas took a blow off the field on Tuesday when it lost a commit, a four-star offensive lineman, to SEC West rival Texas A&M. This from Bleacher Report. The news was greeted with great enthusiasm in College Station:

The Razorbacks, coming off an open date, are at home Saturday night against Auburn and Gus Malzahn. The Malzahn return to Arkansas thing is interesting on its own level, but Bret Bielema was nowhere near Arkansas during all that drama.

Bielema contributed to the rivalry Monday, however, with his concern that he came out on the short end of the video exchange with Auburn. There are SEC guidelines for how member schools exchange video. The conference had no comment. …
