Reports: CB Kendarius Webster commits

Ole Miss has received a verbal commitment from Stockbridge, Ga., cornerback Kendarius Webster, websites Scout and Rivals are reporting.

Webster is rated a four-star prospect by Scout, a three-star prospect by Rivals. Scout ranks him the No. 24 cornerback, Rivals the No. 36 cornerback.

Cornerback is a position of need for the Rebels. They will return starters Mike Hilton and Senquez Golson but will lose Charles Sawyer. Hilton will be a junior next year, Golson a senior.

Freshman Derrick Jones has gotten a lot of snaps over the last several weeks. The Rebels are developing depth at the position but will welcome a natural corner who is also being sought by Florida State, LSU and others.

Good to see this commitment from a player at a much needed position! Also helps take the sting out of losing Andy Bauer back to Mizzu.
I know that Tiger fans here are happy to see him flip back to Mizzu. At least he didn’t wait until the last hour to decommit…it gives us a chance to offer the scholarship to another player and allows time to recruit hard to replace him.
