Ole Miss basketball adds four

Ole Miss has announced the signings of its four men’s basketball commits:

Guards Stefan Moody and J.T. Escobar and bigs Marcanvis Hymon and Rauno Nurger.

Moody looks to be a scorer. He averaged 15.7 points last year at Florida Atlanta en route to Sun Belt Conference freshman of the year honors. He’s at Kilgore (Texas) CC this season.

Hymon is a top 150 player, ranked No. 132 by Rivals.com. He averaged 15 points, nine rebounds and four blocked shots as a junior at Memphis’ Whitehaven High School.

Escobar, 6-1, is a two-time Class 3A all-state selection in Florida.

Nurger, a 6-10 center, is originally from Estonia. He currently plays at Sunrise Christian Academy in Bel Aire, Kan. He averaged 10.2 points and 5.4 rebounds last summer for Estonia’s national team at the European U-20 championships.
