Ole Miss 72, Coastal Carolina 70

A few notes from the box score.

After trailing 30-27 at halftime, Ole Miss shot 55 percent in the second half.

Coastal shot better in the second half too, 45.5 percent after building that first-half lead with 29.7 percent shooting.

Marshall Henderson led all scorers with 19 points. He was 6-for-1 6 from the floor, 4-for-8 from 3.

Also in double figures for Ole Miss were Jarvis Summers with 14, Derrick Millinghaus with 12, Aaron Jones with 11 and Anthony Perez with 10.

Millinghaus was 2-for-5 from 3. Summers, after his big night last week, was 1-for-2 from 3, 5-for-8 from the free throw line.

Coastal outrebounded the Rebels 48-41. Sebastian Saiz led Ole Miss with six rebounds.

The Rebels are back in action Friday night at home against Mississippi Valley State.

    This has to be an extremely challenging pre-SEC schedule for the Rebels.
    On the road against the likes of Georgia Tech and Kansas State (not sure if those are games being played in tournaments). Then Oregon–a top 20 team–visits Oxford on Dec. 8th.
    As the old saying goes: in order to be the best, you have to play the best.
    Thank goodness the Rebels have Marshall Henderson back in good form.
