Halftime: Ole Miss 13, Georgia Tech 7

By Kyle Alford

The Rebels have kicked off the Music City Bowl with a solid start with a 13-7 lead at halftime. Georgia Tech was able to have one long touchdown drive down the field with their triple option, but Ole Miss got better at defending it as the half progressed.

The Rebel’s rushing game is a pleasant sight to see, totaling for 115 yards in the first half. The last game Ole Miss eclipsed the 200 rushing yard mark against a BCS opponent was Texas when they rushed for 272.

Bo Wallace has had a much-needed, impressive first half. He finished the Rebel’s first drive with a 17 yard touchdown run, and has 37 yards on six carries. Wallace has also had success throwing the ball, going 12-17 for 108 yards and a touchdown.

Cody Prewitt, Robert and Denzel Nkemdiche did not start the game. We will see what Hugh Freeze has to say about that at postgame.
