Ole Miss women break SEC skid

First-year Ole Miss women’s coach Matt Insell got his first SEC win tonight as the Rebels defeated Mississippi State 87-85 in overtime.

Ole Miss had been close several times but hadn’t gotten over the hump, and the SEC streak had grown to 10 games. The Rebels had not won since beating MSU 65-51 in February of last ¬†year.

Insell admitted to wondering when the first win would come and if he was “snake-bit.”
