Summers, Henderson make All-SEC second team

Ole Miss guards Marshall Henderson and Jarvis Summers have made the All-SEC second team, the only Rebels mentioned in the coaches postseason awards.

Summers, a junior from Jackson, ranks eighth in the SEC in scoring at 16.9 points per game. He is seventh in field goal percentage at 48.3. The only SEC guard to rank higher is Alabama’s Trevor Releford at 50.5

Summers is also fourth in assists at 3.8 per game

Summers was previously named the Howell Trophy winner which is presented to Mississippi’s top college basketball player.

Henderson was a finalist for the same award and won it last year as a junior.

Henderson is third in the SEC in scoring at 19.0 points per game. He also made the coaches’ second team in 2013 when the led the league in scoring with an average of 20.1 points.

Though he leads in 3-point field goals made at 4.3 per game, he’s 10th in 3-point percentage at 35.1.

Henderson also ranks No. 6 in steals at 1.5 per game.
