First SEC home weekend

Missouri’s record is average on paper, but the pitching numbers are good, and the Tigers appear to be playing better after a 4-6 start.

Weekend Probables

Ole Miss RHP Chris Ellis (3-0, 0.82) vs. Missouri RHP Brett Gaves (3-1, 1.30)

Ole Miss LHP Christian Trent (2-0, 3.48), vs. Missouri RHP John Miles (2-1, 5.76)

Ole Miss RHP Sam Smith (3-1, 1.84) vs. Missouri RHP Eric Anderson (0-2, 2.77)

Distant rumblings about the NCAA’s renewed vigor in pursuing Ole Miss football indiscretions. Hammer is cocked on NCAA pistol. Ole Miss targeted in probe.

PA, after looking at the first few weeks of the season. Where do you think this OM team will rank when we get to the end of the season. Can this team stay consistent and continue to win and be a top team to beat in the SEC tournament or will they wither down the stretch?

Panic, I need to see a few SEC weekends before I jump aboard the train. The start they’ve gotten off to has been impressive. They need the starters to hold up and the bullpen to find some consistency. Also interested to see if Bousfield can hit .350-plus for the season and if Bell can continue to hit as a teams pitch him differently.

My opinion is wither down the stretch….Ellis is a really great pitcher though. He may not lose and his E.R.A. may not rise above 1.0.

Karl Hungus will be incommunicado for the week. He will be in his native land of Serbia, helping install a pipeline to bring safe drinking water into towns decimated by years of war. But he will return…soon. Hot Rod!!
