Treadwell’s Time

Ole Miss sophomore Laquon Treadwell is eager to play on the outside this season, a spot held by Donte Moncrief a year ago.

Treadwell, the nation’s No. 1 wide receiver recruit in the Class of 2013, now becomes the Rebels’ go-to wide receiver.

He’s looked the part in spring drills, showing his physicality on downfield routes. It was a different game for Treadwell a year ago when he was asked to catch short passes and break tackles.

He did that and caught 72 balls en route to SEC Freshman of the Year honors.
