Greenwood’s hot streak

Last night’s Ole Miss comeback was due in large part to Aaron Greenwood’s continued hot streak.

He threw 4.2 innings of scoreless relief last night, keeping Auburn from extending its lead late and from taking the lead in extras before turning it over the Josh Laxer for the last 2.2.

Laxer was also scoreless. Greenwood has now thrown 19.1 straight innings without allowing a run.

We’re a little more than an hour from the Grove Bowl scrimmage. The baseball doubleheader begins at 3. Ole Miss needs a split today to win the series. It would be the Rebels’ second SEC series win of the season, their first against Auburn since 2009.
