Greenwood questionable for weekend

Kendall Rogers of Perfect Game reports that Ole Miss coach Mike Bianco says an abdominal issue could keep Aaron Greenwood out of this weekend’s series at Mississippi State.

That would be a big blow to the Rebels’ bullpen. Greenwood, after a slow start, has thrown 19.1 consecutive scoreless innings.

He came up big in the Rebels’ 8-5 13-inning win over Auburn last Friday with 4.2 scoreless innings, allowing just three hits and no walks before giving way to Josh Laxer who pitched the final 2.2 innings and picked up the win in relief.

Ole Miss takes on Murray State tonight at 6:30.

Hey PA, good morning. Any update on Greenwood?

    • Parrish Alford

Mike said last night that he would know more about Greenwood’s status after watching him pitch today. He said he won’t take Greenwood on the trip unless he thinks he can get into a game and help.

Thanks PA. I guess I could’ve waited for the blog update!
