Video Blog: Bianco, Orvis talk 4-3 loss to LSU

The look on Ole Miss coach Mike Bianco’s face told the story of the Rebels’ 4-3 setback to No. 7 LSU in 13 innings Thursday night at Oxford-University Stadium.

Bianco’s Rebels played their eighth extra-inning game of the season in the opener with the Tigers, dropping to 4-4 in such contests. The game was decided in the field, where two Ole Miss errors scored two runs, including the game-winner in the 13th. Here is Bianco following the loss, as well as first baseman Sikes Orvis, who hit a solo home run in the second inning of the contest to get the Rebels on the board first.

That was a great baseball game. I could’ve watched all night. That’s what I like most about baseball. Each at bat had chance to change the outcome. Baseball is the best sport, by far.

That is the one thing that I will have to disagree with you on Karl. Wraslin is the best sport. I like Elvis, the King of Rock and Roll, Jerry the King Lawler and Karl the King of Bulldog blog trollers. Keep up the good work King.

That game was a classic matchup between the two best teams in the West…maybe the two best in the SEC. Sharkfins need to take down the Corndogs, Saturday.

What about Friday Karl? Is it not important? If it is not, I will just watch wraslin or maybe my VCR tape of Blue Hawaii.

You like so many others have met with utter failure. Karl Hungus is Bosnian for superior. You may need to get a smarter phone…I suggest the HTC series 670..It lowers the preemptive suggestions, which should make you more successful.

I will as soon as Obama buys me another phone.

Sharkfins must take these next two games to increase their chances of hosting a regional. Hosting a regional will definitely help their goal of advancing further.

Words of extreme wisdom there Karl. That is why you are still the king.

Baseball is one of very few sports that hasn’t a time limit. It ebbs and flows with each pitch. It’s a very cerebral game. One of guesses, of knowledge and sometimes luck. It’s a game that fathers teach their children. It can be played in the yard, a vacant lot, grand cathedrals under the lights and in the streets with a tape ball and a broom stick. It is THE best sport!! The people that attend baseball games are different than fans of other sports. There’s just a unique feeling one gets at a baseball game.

Them people at baseball games sure are different from the wraslin fans. Most of the baseball fans have their teeth and shoes, except of course in Starkville. They are also a lot quieter, except when they are ringing the cowbells. Come to think of if it, wraslin fans are not much different from State fans. Man that makes me feel good. No wonder I like them dogs.

Bianco may have finally assembled a team that can make it to Omaha. If the Sharkfins get to Omaha it’ll be back to back Mississippi teams to visit Omaha. Similar to the Gumps and Barns in football.

This Sharkfins team is beginning to grow on me. They’re showing a tremendous will to win. So many close games…they’ve won 6 in the last at bat and have lost 4 in the last at bat. That’s exciting baseball.
