Final: Ole Miss 3 Arkansas 2

Chris Ellis pitched out of trouble in the fifth and sixth, and Aaron Greenwood slammed the door.

Greenwood returned from a three-week absence due to an abdominal injury at Kentucky. He was far more dominant tonight, retiring all nine batters he faced over three innings as he picked up his second save. He had four strikeouts.

In a matchup of two of the top three pitching staffs in the SEC, Ole Miss had the goods, even when Ellis was a little wobbly in the middle innings.

He got a big ground ball to end the fifth with the bases loaded, and got two outs in the sixth after the Hogs had bunted runners ahead to second and third with one out.

Ellis scattered six hits and walked three in his six innings of work.

The Rebels had nine hits against Arkansas right-hander Trey Killian, who never left the game. It was his fourth complete outing, but he’s just 2-8 now.

J.B. Woodman led Ole Miss with three hits, and Auston Bousfield had two, one of them a bunt single. Will Allen had a double.
