Monday Morning Update

Spanning the globe on a Monday morning …

The simulated RPIs, and, both have Ole Miss at No. 15 this morning. That’s outside the national seed realm but still in strong position to host provided the Rebels finish strong this week.

Ole Miss is at Arkansas State (55 RPI) Tuesday night before finishing SEC regular season play at Texas A&M (RPI 36).

From a hosting perspective, where the Rebels finish in the conference will also be an important factor. They’re a good bet to host if they finish in the top four in the SEC. While Ole Miss is alone in first place right now, there’s not a lot of space between the leaders.

MSU is a game back, LSU two games back and Alabama 2 1-2. Alabama and MSU play each other this weekend in Tuscaloosa.

On paper LSU has the easiest final series, at Auburn. …

Ole Miss released the free agent signings of OL Pierce Burton (Vikings), OL Emmanuel McCray (Rams) and RB Jeff Scott (Bengals) Saturday night. Yesterday I saw WR Ja-Mes Logan (Patriots) and P Tyler Campbell (Bears), announce on Twitter.

If you’ve seen others post them here. …

We were up in the Oxford area this weekend for my wife’s family reunion, and a big THANKs extended to the Ole Miss lady soccer team for coming out to the Delay Baptist church in lending a helping hand in some odd jobs, maybe those Ole Miss football and basketball teams could learn an example from those hard working gals, but I doubt it loser never change.

JB is right!!! Blacks bears are in unfamiliar ground….leading this late in a baseball season. Hope they don’t get the ball stripped going in for the touchdown!!!
