Big win for Rebels

I am not in College Station this weekend, and Brent Zwerneman, who covers Texas A&M for the San Antonio and Houston newspapers, is covering the series for us.

Good stuff here from Ole Miss’ 8-4 win in Game 1. Game 2 is tonight at 7. Ole Miss will ┬ábe going for its 19th win.

It was a big win indeed, can’t stop now LSU and MSU waiting for them to lo lose. as it stands now ole miss would be the Number 2 seed in SEC tournament, but in the next two days of SEC baseball event lots at things can change. OLe Miss could win the SEC outright should the Gator blow the next two game with Tenn and Regels win next two with A&M then Rables would be the #1 seed. My money event tho is way outdated goes to So. Carolina and Gators to win the SEC tournament., but ole miss rangels the long shot.

    From the Jackson paper:

“Ole Miss, the team predicted to be in the middle of the pack in the preseason, CLINCHED the Southeastern Conference West title with a 4-2 victory at Texas A&M Friday night. The win insures the No. 14 Rebels (40-15, 19-10) will have a bye as the No. 2 seed at the SEC tournament in Hoover, Ala., next week. The win also keeps their hope alive for a national seed in the NCAAs, which would make the road to the College World Series to go through Oxford.”
