Texas A&M 9, Ole Miss 6

Rebels can’t get the sweep.

Not a good series for Jeremy Massie, who struggled in relief Thursday and again today. Massie took the loss with three runs — one earned — with two hits and three walks in 3.0 innings.

Sam Smith went 4.1 innings and gave up nine hits, five runs, four earned.

Ole Miss led 6-5 after seven innings and gave up four runs in the eighth.

The Rebels had 10 hits and committed four errors.

Braxton Lee, Will Allen and Preston Overbey each had two hits. J.B. Woodman and Will Jamison had triples, and Woodman had two RBIs.

Rebels choked! And Udders did too! Hope the mastitis pups get in to the cws field anyway. That’s the difference between us and them. We support MS. They support starkghanistan.

The Rebels win the series against TAMU. They were not focused on Saturday and committed several rare errors. The Rebels are still the #1 hitting team and the #1 pitching team in the SEC** and they and Florida sit at the TOP.

Congratulations Coach Mike Bianco & team for an exciting/successful season. Next week will be a fun week for college baseball.
