Allen, Anderson talk tourney, national seed hopes

Checking in from the Hoover Met where only a few Vanderbilt and Tennessee fans have embraced the SEC tournament opener. It’s looking very much like the Commodores will advance. They’re leading 3-2 in the eighth, and Tennessee isn’t applying any pressure at the moment.

Texas A&M and Arkansas will follow, the winner to face the Rebels tomorrow.

As Ole Miss prepares for this SEC tournament it appears a home regional is in hand, but a good showing here would strengthen an argument for a national seed.

We visited with players on Monday about the seed topic and others including how this team felt about being projected sixth in the SEC West by league coaches.
