Video Blog: Orvis, Ellis talk latest about Oxford Regional

By John Davis, Oxford Citizen

It’s becoming more and more obvious that Ole Miss players are ready to start the Oxford Regional. At least they can answer some new questions from the media.

First baseman Sikes Orvis and Chris Ellis, the Rebels’ starting pitcher in the opener, were both on their best behavior, but their respective body language suggested practicing, and doing interviews talking about playing the likes of Jacksonville State, Washington and Georgia Tech, have grown a little old.

You be the judge with these videos. Thanks again to the players, who have been more than willing to take time out their practice schedule, three straight days now, to talk about the matchup with the Gamecocks on Friday.

I’m sure our guys don’t need motivation,, but here’s some mild bulletin board material: UW’s coach Lindsay Meggs said to his team about Oxford: “great town. … No better place to play … we’re going to kick some a**.”
