Destin Day 3 Wrap

Presidents and ADs are in various meetings this morning. The general business session begins is scheduled for noon to 2. Hopefully it will finish a bit earlier since this has been described as a non -contentious Destin.

We’ll see what votes are taken then.

On Thursday SEC football officials coordinator Steve Shaw spoke at great length about spotting the football and how the tempo offenses play into that with his group.

Some rule changes to keep and eye on too.

The presidents and chancellors arrived and began their meetings. While the first part of the week is entertaining — as coaches tell us what ought to be done — the second part is serious. It’s these campus CEOs who cast the votes that determine policy.

I spoke with both Ole Miss chancellor Dan Jones and Mississippi State president Mark Keenum and will again today.
