Royals take Ole Miss signee

I took the bike out on the ULL campus for a bit, and while I was gone the Royals took Ole Miss signee Foster Griffin, a lefty pitcher, with the 28th pick in the first round.

That was not unexpected, and it will be hard to get him to campus unless there’s some kind of negotiations break down or some other unforeseen obstacle.

Perfect Game had Griffin projected as a first-rounder.

Ole Miss junior Chris Ellis could still go tonight.

    Saw this in the Clarion-Ledger:
Columbia’s Ti’Quan Forbes, a top Ole Miss recruit, was selected Thursday with the No. 59 selection of the MLB First-Year Player Draft by the Texas Rangers.
Hope they both make a ton on money. Too bad they are foregoing their college experience…especially at Ole MIss…one of the premier universities of the South.

I agree 101%. If I had an offer like that, no way would I endanger it by not grabbing the brass ring.
