Video Blog: OM’s Bousfield, Ellis discuss Game 1 loss

By John Davis, Oxford Citizen

LAFAYETTE, La. — Auston Bousfield and Chris Ellis are two of the many reasons the Ole Miss Rebels are still playing this weekend. Unfortunately, the duo didn’t have many great moments in the Rebels’ 9-5 loss to Louisiana-Lafayette in the opener of the Lafayette Super Regional.

Bousfield made an error in the second inning, leading the Ragin’ Cajuns’ first run, while Ellis took the loss, just his second of the year, after struggling to control his pitches. He issued three walks in 2.1 innings of work and while he only gave up one hit, it was a three-run home run to Tyler Girouard in the third inning.

Here are their thoughts following the loss.
