John Davis and I are on the road to Omaha this morning. Currently we’re on that barren stretch between West Memphis and St. Louis.
Here’s what we had in the Mother Ship this morning.
Mike Bianco has been to Omaha plenty of times but not in a long time. It’s been so long, in fact, that Bianco was calling his friends in the business — two of which are also in the CWS — to ask question about logistics and routines.
Structure was an important element of Omaha success for Skip Bertman’s winning teams at LSU, Bianco said.
Good stuff here as well with Bianco’s response to whether he believes a monkey has been lifted off his back.
Also, this column from Boss, as John Pitts writes about exactly what could happen in the College World Series — and that’s anything for anybody.
