Scheduling Note

Just a note to say I’ll be on vacation this week. John Davis will not be, and he’ll be keeping an eye on things at OxfordCitizen.com. Check him out.

I’ll be back next week. Thanks.

PA hope you and family have a great vacation. you certainly deserve one. i feel we are in capable hands with John Davis at the helm. Today my wife and I made a grocery shoping trip to Wall Mart here in Crestview, to my surprise they had Wonder bread in stock, thats a rarity here in Florida. in you youthful days back on the farm at Tula my mother would make shoping trips to Kroger’s in Oxford and one of her purchases would be Wonder bread, Back in those days Oxford depended on Supplies from Memphis, Bread, milk, etc. we were fortunate and blessed to live on the farm, since it provided most of our needs in food supplies. Ole Miss great football Coach Johnny Vaught probably fed those great football team’s of the 50 and 60’s with provisions out of Memphis. They were winners and stood shoulder to shoulder with the best teams in the nation, The basketball team not too good but the did compete and use some football players to augment the team. The OL in those days weighed in at about 6’2″ and 245 lb, Probably Jim Dunaway the biggest a good day to all, and Congrat to that Rebel baseball team for a job well done and great season.
