Backup QBs: We’re not one-dimensional players

Ryan Buchanan and DeVante Kincade were both four-star recruits. Now the two redshirt freshmen are vying to become Bo Wallace’s back-up. Whoever wins, both hope to shed labels that they’re one-dimensional quarterbacks, Kincade the runner, Buchanan the pocket passer.

For Ole Miss coach Hugh Freeze, first things first with his young QBs. He wants them to learn the offense in such a way that they’re playing faster and not making the mistakes they made with timing and ball-protection in Tuesday’s practice.
