Thursday Morning Update

Coming to you this Game Day from Atlanta where the sun is creeping up over the downtown buildings.

I know a lot of folks are excited to watch the Rebels take on Boise State tonight in the Georgia Dome. One of them is Marshall Henderson, now playing basketball overseas, and he’s having some problems:

Atlanta’s college football season actually kickoff last night at the Dome in a nice back-and-forth game between Georgia State and Abilene Christian.

Georgia State won it with a late field goal, the Panthers’ first win as an FBS school.

As I’ve mentioned before, there may be some nervous Ole Miss fans if tonight’s game comes down to the Rebels needing a game-winning kick — unless Andrew Fletcher has knocked through a few earlier int he game.

Don’t know when exactly Ole Miss got to town, but I do know the Rebels were not scheduled to visit the new Hall of Fame.

Boise State, however, did visit as a group:

Some in the Ole Miss traveling party did view the Hall. The Rebels are staying at the adjacent Omni hotel at CNN Center. …

From San Antonio, a reminder that Bo Wallace and new Boise State coach Bryan Harsin almost crossed paths at Texas, although the spelling here makes it look like Wallace is from Paris, France, not a couple of hours from Paris, Tenn.
