SEC Power Rankings

Not much change, and not much was expected after a weekend of uninspiring SEC opponents. Better games this weekend and probably more shuffling next Monday. I moved Missouri ahead of Mississippi State based largely on State’s defensive performance against UAB. UAB – like Memphis which Ole Miss faces later this month – is an improved team, but Toledo is better, and Missouri was impressive against the Rockets. I’m moving Florida ahead of South Carolina just on a hunch. The bottom of the league is better this year as Tennessee, Kentucky and Arkansas are all improved. If there was competition for the No. 14 spot last year there’s not this year. It’s clearly Vanderbilt.
