More in the tank

Ole Miss coach Hugh Freeze was pleased with the progress his team made against Vanderbilt but says there are areas in which the Rebels need to improve.

That’s red zone production in particular.

From the Mother Ship, the Monday presser.

Freeze also says he’s going to put the pedal to the metal — that’s old CB talk — in getting offensive lineman Christian Morris ready to go since he received a waiver from the NCAA last Friday.

He liked the play of many of his young players who were getting game action for the first time, starting with QB Ryan Buchanan. He was impressed with the late-game running of Eugene Brazley but was non-committal on if Brazley actually improved his stock at a crowded running back position.
