Rebels up to No. 10 in AP Top 25

Ole Miss is a top-10 college football team.

Evidence of that came Sunday afternoon when Associated Press voters took notice of a second-straight lop-sided win and moved the Rebels up four spots to no. 10 in the AP Top 25.

The Rebels also moved up three spots in the Amway-USA Today coaches poll to No. 12.

Four SEC West teams are ranked ahead of Ole Miss in both polls – Alabama, Auburn, Texas A&M and LSU.

The Rebels are off this week and return to action at home on Sept. 27 against Memphis.

Being ranked in the Top 10 means never overlooking any opponent because you now have that bull’s eye target on your back and you’re going to get their best shot. I expect a very competitive game when the Memphis Tigers come calling. Only because they went and played UCLA and almost beat ’em. That turned some heads. I’ll be most interested in seeing the outcome of the Memphis-Middle Tenn State game this weekend.
IF Bo continues on the same track, there might be some head turning wins down the road for the Rebels.
