Ole Miss sent out a release Sunday night that said NASCAR driver Ricky Stenhouse Jr. will be on campus speaking to various student groups on Tuesday and will attend football practice that afternoon. …

Auburn goes on the road for a mid-week game at Kansas State and is hoping its trend of improvement after a bye week under Gus Malzahn continues.

In an SEC-Big 12 matchup on Saturday it was Arkansas pulling away from Texas Tech with 438 rushing yards and a 14-point fourth-quarter. …

There’s been lots of talk about the Ole Miss defense in its impressive start to the season. LSU has played some defense too, and the Tigers carry back-to-back shutouts into their SEC opener with Mississippi State. …

Speaking of defense, Georgia’s wasn’t very impressive against South Carolina, nor were the Bulldogs’ special teams. It all added up to an upset win for the Gamecocks who were able to regain a little respect after their season-opening loss to Texas A&M. …

Former Ole Miss star Greg Hardy, who was convicted of domestic abuse in July, was deactivated by the Panthers on Sunday. The team insists that Hardy will eventually play while he awaits a jury trial he sought on appeal. …
