Focused on focus

Ole Miss tight end Evan Engram said his personal goal in the off week was to increase his focus from play to play.

Engram, a sophomore, says sometimes he gets distracted by the speed of the game. He thinks he made some progress in that area during the open date.

Engram had 11 catches through the first two games but none in Game 3, the Rebels’ 56-15 win over Louisiana-Lafayette.

Early in the game Engram went the wrong way on a play that resulted in a 56-yard touchdown run for I’Tavius Mathers. His playing time was limited after that.
