Friday Morning Update

Spanning the globe on a Friday morning …

Brad Locke and Lauren Wood of the Daily Journal, and myself, had dinner at Ajax last night with Keri Potts (@MsPotts_ESPN) the senior director of public relations for ESPN. We learned a lot about College GameDay and the group’s travels.

It was an interesting night on the Square that also included a group of sorority girls blocking traffic outside another restaurant for a glimpse of Zach Efron of High School Musical fame.

There’s a media opp with the GameDay crew at 11:45 today. We’ll have more here. …

We interrupt all this football talk to mention that basketball practice begins today. …

From Columbia, a Missouri athletic administrator has been arrested on suspicion of driving while intoxicated. …

Back to football. There was an upset in the PAC-12 last night as Arizona upset No. 2 Oregon

In a later tweet he says the LSU game is the one test in a combined eight games for the Mississippi SEC schools.

There’s some merit there. It’s harder to hold up Boise as a quality win after the Broncos scored only 14 points in a two-touchdown loss to Air Force. I think Boise will prove to be a good team. They’ve got some nice skill players, particularly the running back Jay Ajayi …
