Remembering two close losses to Johnny Football and the Aggies

Evan Engram wasn’t a part of the Ole Miss program — officially — when Johnny Manziel first stole a win from the Rebels at Vaught-Hemingway Stadium. Engram felt the pain nonetheless. He felt it more last year as a freshman and an active participant.

Engram and Senquez Golson remember those A&M losses here.

More on the topic here.

John Youngblood: “As soon as the defensive team meeting ended (Sunday)  I think it was Cody and CJ who made a couple of comments saying, ‘These guys have taken it away twice in our place at the last minute. We didn’t play 60 minutes of football.’ I hope we can go into this game having that in the back of our minds and maybe we can do that to them or just straight dominate them the whole game.

Bryon Bennett:  “It was definitely rough. Both of the last two times we played them we led in the fourth and let it slip away due to whatever issues. We’re focusing in and trying to take it one play at a time this year, and we’re all in. I feel like we’ll just come in and do our thing and make sure we manage it well. We’ll be fine.”

Mike Hilton: “We’re just ready to get over that hump now. We got over the hump in a couple of other games. We just got to get over this one and go from there.”
