Prewitt, Haynes take SEC honors

Ole Miss senior safety Cody Prewitt has been named the SEC’s defensive player of the week, and freshman Marquis Haynes has been named the league’s defensive lineman of the week.

Prewitt had seven tackles and returned an interception 75 yards for a score as Ole Miss won 35-20 at Texas A&M. The Aggies were shut out in the first half for the first time this season and were held to their lowest point total of the year.

Haynes had four tackles and two sacks against the Aggies. He leads the team and is fifth in the SEC with four sacks on the year.
