Video Blog: Prewitt gives defense a B plus

By John Davis, Oxford Citizen

Cody Prewitt scored one of two defensive touchdowns this past Saturday in the Ole Miss Rebels’ 35-20 win over then No. 14 Texas A&M.

His efforts earned him the SEC Defensive Player of the Week honor Monday evening. The interception return covered 75 yards for a touchdown, Prewitt’s first as ┬áRebel. His interception was his 11th overall, ranking seventh on the all-time Ole Miss list. He also finished with seven tackles overall.

Defensive end Marquis Haynes was named SEC Defensive Lineman of the Week after garnering two sacks against the Aggies. The freshman from Jacksonville, Fla., finished with four tackles overall.

Here is more from Prewitt from an interview with the media Monday.
