It’s official. Another dominating performance by Ole Miss coupled with a season-high point total allowed by Stanford has the Rebels on top of the nation in scoring defense.

Ole Miss only gave up a field goal in its win over Tennessee, while the Cardinal allowed 26 points to Arizona State in a loss Saturday night. The Cardinal had only allowed 60 points coming into their matchup with the Sun Devils.

The Rebels have now yielded just 74 points in seven games, or 10.6 points per game.

Ole Miss is one of three SEC teams to be ranked in the nation’s top 10 in scoring defense, joined there by Alabama, who ranks third, and LSU, Saturday’s opponent on the road, at No. 8

Awesome. #1 scoring defense in the nation. Landsharks eat baby tigers for dinner. 🙂
