Wommack talks Rebels’ defense, looks to LSU

Ole Miss defensive coordinator Dave Wommack has been around the block more than a few times.

Coaches don’t often like to compare their defenses or offenses to previous ones they’ve coached. Wommack coordinated some very good units at Southern Miss.

He really likes this group for its chemistry and coachability.

This Ole Miss group has been a fundamentally sound tackling unit. That should serve it well against LSU’s big running backs.

Wommack also talks about the challenge his defensive backs face in helping with the run but not falling victim to the play-action pass.
