Monday Morning Update

Spanning the globe on a Monday morning …

Freeze and Friends begins at 12:30 today. JD and I will have Rapid Reaction shortly after the players make their way through. We should learn a little bit about the injury situation today.

Prior to Saturday the Rebels had been fortunate in avoiding in-season injuries. They had more than their share before the season — Chief Brown, Tee Shepard, Carlos Davis. Brown, who tore an Achilles in June, was back for the LSU game. I suspect it will be a while before he’s ready to contribute, another question for today’s presser. He redshirted as a true freshman in 2011 …

As Hugh Freeze’s recent conservative play-calling has been a source of conversation, here’s this view on play-calling for Auburn coach Gus Malzahn.

Speaking of Auburn, the No. 4 Tigers open the week as an underdog at No. 7 Ole Miss. Remember the Tyler Siskey drama during the Alabama game last year? There’s an Auburn version:
