First Down Production

First down play calling has been a topic this week. Here’s what it was against LSU in the second half.

Fourteen plays. Nine of the first 11 were rush attempts. The last three were passes. The first-down rushing in the second half was 2 yards on nine attempts. First-down passing was 2-for-15 for 19 yards.

The Rebels had 206 yards in the first half, just 107 yards after halftime and just 62 in the second half before the final frantic drive. The Rebels played most of the second half without left tackle Laremy Tunsil.
