Injuries, Aplin and more news as Ole Miss prepares for Auburn

The Rebels had largely been able to avoid in-season injuries before the LSU game. There were some critical injuries in the pre-season — Chief Brown, Tee Shepard, Carlos Davis, Collins Moore — but when you begin the season with the knowledge that you don’t have players you’re able to adjust better than having to adjust on the fly.

If Hugh Freeze is right almost all of the wounded will be able to go against Auburn. The question mark on Monday, Freeze said, was center Ben Still.

If all these guys are able to go they will have to find the mental toughness to play hurt. It’s going to be about pain tolerance, and that could be a distraction.
