Tuesday Morning Update

Spanning the globe on a Tuesday morning …

If the early betting lines are right, Arkansas will snap its 17-game SEC losing streak before Ole Miss gets there on Nov. 22. …

More adventures in player access. This from Georgia:

South Carolina coach Steve Spurrier has apologized for walking out of his postgame presser without taking questions following the Tennessee game on Nov. 1. The Gamecocks had just coughed up a two-touchdown lead in the late minutes of a come-from-ahead overtime loss to the Vols. Spurrier’s actions prompted a condemnation letter from a national group, the Football Writer’s Association of America. Spurrier is a wonderful personality to cover. Humility, at least in public, isn’t one of his strengths, and I’m thinking he reached the decision to apologize with a bit of encouragement. …

Ole Miss had to get past an emotional loss to Auburn. I’m not sure you’ve really done that until you’re back in the SEC win column. This week it’s LSU that has to work past an emotional loss. …

Don.t like saying this but I want LSU to win. Don.t want Hogs knowing they can beat SEC teams with a win. I think I want us to play them having lost a game they were favored to win. What do you think?
