Brown says Ole Miss DL must be dominant against Hogs

Ole Miss defensive end Fadol Brown says the Arkansas run game is the best the Rebels have seen this year, better than both LSU and Auburn who had great success against Ole Miss.

“I think it’s the best run game we’ve seen all year long. Every single game they come with it. They try to power you out the hole and try to pound it constantly, constantly. They run the same plays over and over and try to get you out of your gap,” he said.

Here’s Brown after today’s practice:

LSU also had a determined approach in the run game when they gained 264 yards on the ground, the most by an Ole Miss opponent.

Brown says the Rebels’ defensive line has to out-perform the Razorbacks’ offensive line. It’s non-negotiable, he says.

“This game is going to be on us, nobody else, just like the LSU game was on us. We’ve got to be physical up front and dominate the line of scrimmage. If we don’t do that then we don’t have a chance.”

Arkansas has a very good run game, but I find it hard to believe that anyone could think that their run game is better than Auburn’s.
