Final: Ole Miss 69, Southern University 38

Not an inspiring offensive performance, but while Andy Kennedy continues to work with a wide variety of player combinations it seems that all of his players are defending.

Southern shot 27 percent in the first half and didn’t have a field goal over the last 9:16. The Jaguars shot 28 percent for the game.

Ole Miss scored 21 points off 22 turnovers forced and was plus-7 on the glass. Rebounding has improved since the season-opening loss to Charleston Southern.

Here’s Kennedy:

Jarvis Summers didn’t shoot much tonight, attempting only five field goals. He finished with six points and five assists.

Stefan Moody led Ole Miss with 13 points, and LaDarius White had 12. Four players had at least five rebounds.

Aaron Jones entered about eight minutes into the first half, his first action of the season coming off suspension. He had a quick bucket, but it was hit only one of the game. He finished 1-for-5 with four points and two rebounds in 13 minutes.
