Engram eager for Egg Bowl

Good stuff here from Ole Miss tight end Evan Engram.

He was the player from the offense that was chosen to speak with media Tuesday. Interesting choice in that he’s an out-of-state player who did not play in the Egg Bowl last year because he was injured. No C.J. Johnson or Cody Prewitt this week.

Engram says he’s taken on more of a leadership role in the absence of Laquon Treadwell. Clearly Engram was targeted more against Arkansas. While he’s a tight end in name he’s not going to often line up at the end of the line of scrimmage and block.

Engram expresses a lot of confidence in Bo Wallace and thinks Wallace will have a bounce back game against the Bulldogs.

Looking at the 2015 recruiting class, currently ranked 29th on Scout, I see only 16 offers. It’s usually 25. Is this part of the NCAA punishment?
