There was a new Hugh Freeze to Florida rumor yesterday, one that said Freeze has been offered the job. Nothing substantiated. It did generate this analysis from CollegeFootballTalk and NBCSports.com. Freeze’s body of work will make him an attractive candidate at Florida and other places. However, it does seem that it could be a bit of a harder sell to introduce a coach who lost four straight SEC games after a 4-0 SEC start. That’s what will happen to Freeze unless Ole Miss wins the Egg Bowl. …

Paul Finebaum has high hopes for his live Iron Bowl show in spite of predictions. …

Auburn defensive coordinator Ellis Johnson has high praise for the Alabama offense and its coordinator, Lane Kiffin. …
