Rebels rise in Egg aftermath

Ole Miss’ 31-17 win over Mississippi State created a lot of movement for both schools in this week’s rankings.

In the AP Top 25 Ole Miss, which dropped hard and fast to No. 18 after a 30-0 loss at Arkansas, moved up five spots to No. 13. MSU was No. 4 last week in the AP and dropped six spots to No. 10.

It was also a six-spot drop for MSU in the coaches poll which also leaves them at No. 10.

The Rebels, likewise, jumped five spots with the coaches, but they were ranked No. 19 last week which leaves them at No. 14 this week.

So proud of these Rebels. Give HF the bank if you have to for him to stay. What a class coach. The Rebels made so many mistakes against ARK to give this Rebel coach the excuse to blame others, yet he says that he has to do a better job of coaching. After seeing the Egg come back to Oxford, that same coach gave credit to the other coaches and players.

Bo did what he has done for three years. He gave his all to win. I hope now he has earned the right to stand beside the Manning family as a great Ole Miss Rebel. Without Bo Ole Miss would still be looking for a way to beat State and get to a bowl game. With Bo Ole Miss is 2-1 against State and going to its third bowl game. As I said before, Bo is not the best QB in the SEC, but he is the best QB on the Ole Miss team. It is time for fans and reporters to listen to what Bo’s teammates are saying. Thank you Bo for three great years. Now go get a victory in your bowl game.

This is one fan that is already looking forward to next year.
