One round of updated bowl projections gives Ole Miss a chance at one of the Big 6 games and has the Rebels in the Cotton Bowl against Baylor. CBS’ Jerry Palm is less impressed with the 9-3 Rebels and has them in the TaxSlayer Bowl, formerly the Gator.
It helped the Rebels to make a nice jump in what I refer to now as the conversational polls. They’re 13 and 14 in the AP and the coaches rankings. Real insight into where the Rebels will go for a bowl game will come Tuesday night in the new release of the College Football Playoff Committee rankings. …
Didn’t see just a whole lot of extracurricular during the game. There was of course some. There was an interesting exchanged between CJ Johnson and Dak Prescott during a timeout. Prescott was set to hold for a PAT, and Johnson walked over and talked to him. The body language between both of them indicated that it was not a confrontational conversation, but when I asked Johnson about the conversation he wouldn’t talk about it.
