Thursday Morning Update

Spanning the globe on a Thursday morning …

As the carousel spins …

Two former Ole Miss coaches may be in the mix at UNLV:

Or Maybe one is not:

Nutt, however, could be in the mix for Tulsa also. At least ¬†it sounds like he thinks he is. …

Nebraska seemed to have a great deal of interest in Arkansas coach Bret Bielema Wednesday but several reports indicated that Bielema would be staying in Fayetteville.

Someone else who won’t be coaching Nebraska is former Ohio State coach Jim Tressel. Here’s a list of guys who might coach Nebraska. Of course, you can cross Bielema and Tressel off that list. …

More from the carousel. Who will coach Michigan? The Detroit Free Press offers some suggestions. Note: The first photo you’ll see has two coaches, one whose hat doesn’t fit quite right and another with strong local ties.

According to CBSSports.com Jim Harbaugh and Les Miles (oops, gave away the first link) are strong candidates for the Michigan job. …

Fortunately for Ole Miss the coaching drama is over. Ross Bjork confirmed on Twitter early Tuesday that a verbal agreement is in place. The Daily Journal first reported that Monday evening. The school has made no official announcement.

Cotton Bowl: Baylor vs. Ole Miss
A prolific Baylor offense against the #1 scoring Landshark defense. Fans of both teams would fill the stadium (Jerry’s World) to capacity. This (if it comes to fruition) would be one of the top 3 or 4 bowl games IMO.
