Tuesday Morning Update

Spanning the globe on a Tuesday morning …

Texas A&M is trying to put a positive spin on a 7-5 finish and Liberty Bowl bid. …

Speaking of spin, how does Georgia feel about playing in the Belk Bowl? Good thoughts here from Seth Emerson. I know there are status issues with the SEC’s new bowl partners, the Texas Bowl in Houston and the Belk Bowl in Charlotte. Personally, I see a lot of pluses. Vegas opens most SEC bowl teams as favorites including Ole Miss with a narrow edge against TCU in the Peach. …

From Athlon Sports, College Football Playoff predictions. Lots of love for Alabama here, but it’s not a complete roll for the Tide. …

The A&P tells us that Florida State quarterback Jameis Winston, last year’s Heisman Trophy winner, is on the bubble to repeat. Frankly, I don’t think he’s that close. ….
