Haynes makes freshman All-SEC

Ole Miss defensive end Marquis Haynes has been named to the SEC’s all-freshman team.

Haynes led the Rebels with 7.5 sacks, 0.63 per game which ranked seventh in the SEC. He had 8.5 tackles for loss.

Haynes, once a North Carolina signee, played high school ball in Jacksonville, Fla., and spent a year in prep school before signing with Ole Miss.

He had 29 total tackles, led the team with eight quarterback pressures and tied for the team lead with three forced fumbles.
