Ole Miss released the financial terms of the Hugh Freeze contract late this morning.
Freeze’s salary jumps more than a million a year to $4.3 annually. One of the interesting incentives calls for his salary to immediately become $5 million a year if he reaches the SEC championship game. Not wins it, reaches it. In the meantime there annually $100,000 raises built in.
The contract extends fully to the maximum of four years allowed by state law.
The pool for assistant coach salaries increased by 25 percent.
The financial terms were combined in a school news release that announces a Monday morning press conference in which the school will share more detail about proposed renovation of Vaught-Hemingway Stadium.
